Cacique Bier was born from the wish to create flavours in Arequipa that invite you to discover something different: craft beer and mead with an identity of their own.
Our story
A search that begins in Arequipa.
We started with a simple idea: work every recipe patiently, try combinations, and let the ingredients tell a story. Beer opened the way, and mead widened what was possible.
Today we keep exploring crisp, roasted, fruity and spiced profiles. We are not after drinks that taste alike; we are after drinks that each have a reason to be remembered.
Meet the brewer
Adolfo Galindo Argüelles
Brew Head at Cacique Bier · BJCP Beer and Mead Judge
Since founding Cacique Bier on December 9, 2017, Adolfo has led the brewery's production. With 8 years of experience, he is a BJCP Beer and Mead Judge and a Certified Cicerone Beer Server, bringing together production, sensory analysis and a constant search for new profiles.
He co-organised Copa de los Volcanes in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and has earned medals in national and international competitions. These include gold in Traditional Dry Mead at Spain's Copa Reina Hidromiel. He also provides technical consultancy and builds equipment for breweries across Peru.
Awards
Craft that earns recognition
Our beers and meads have received distinctions in national and international competitions. At the IX Copa Nacional de Cerveceros del Perú 2026, Cacique Bier received the Mejor Hidromielería del Perú award, recognising it as Peru's best meadery.
